Atypical fractures of femur after longterm bisphosphonates treatment: two years follow up

The authors present own group of 4213 patients treated with bisphosphonates (BFs) and development of atypical fractures (AF) after 2 years follow up. At the beginning 2147 patients were treated with alendronate and 2066 with ibandronate. Melorheostosis: succesfull conservative treatment of polyostotic skeleton affection

Melorheostosis together with osteopoikilosis, ostepathia striata and Buschke–Ollendorfov’s syndrom belongs to mesodermal sclerotic dysplasia. Melorheostosis is a very rare disease with an incidence of 1:1 000 000, which was firstly described by French neurologist Léri in 1922.
